Steven and Gwendolyn Corgan – 31 Years of Missionary Service
Our passion is to change the way Spanish speaking people the world over view and understand God. We know that He is good – all the time. He never changes. His love is unconditional. His grace is limitless. No matter how good you think He is; He’s better than that. Ephesians 3:20 says, “…Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think…” However ambitiously you can ask or think, our God is even grander and more generous. When people hear and believe that God is good they run to Him, not from Him. It’s the hearing of this word, this Good News that produces faith in the heart. “So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).” Romans 10:17, Amplified Bible. We are preaching the message that came from the lips of Jesus the Messiah, that God is good-all the time. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus came that we might have life more abundantly. (John 10:10)
Religion’s age old strategy of reinforcing man’s failure, inability, and utter incompetence to please God has only served to cower and drive him farther away from God. Why would you want to draw near to a God you believe is eternally angry, despises you, and could never be pleased with you? But the Good News we preach says, “…He has made us acceptable in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:6Ephesians 1:6

The Good News we’ve been called to preach is: God isn’t angry with men any more. He made peace through the cross of Jesus Christ, satsified the sin debt we could never pay, reconciled and restored mankind to favor with himself. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).”God’s not taking into account men’s sins, He’s not holding men’s sins against them, He’s not angry with you, and He judged Jesus with the judgment that was due you.
